FDTD-Based Diffuse Scattering and Transmission Models for Ray Tracing of Millimeter-Wave Communication Systems

چکیده

At millimeter-wave frequencies, diffuse scattering from rough surfaces is an important propagation mechanism. Including this mechanism in radio modeling tools, such as ray-tracing, a key step towards realizing accurate models for 5G and beyond systems. We propose two-stage solution to problem. First, we model reflection transmission through slabs, such doors, walls windows with the FDTD method. Our results indicate influence of roughness whether measurable, either reducing magnitude reflected transmitted waves, or (most importantly) generating components. In latter case, surface effectively acts secondary source, whose pattern computed by full-wave analysis. Then, embedded ray-tracer, enabling computation tracing field demonstrate approach ray-tracing analysis 28 GHz indoor environment.

Beamforming Based Full-Duplex for Millimeter-Wave Communication

In this paper, we study beamforming based full-duplex (FD) systems in millimeter-wave (mmWave) communications. A joint transmission and reception (Tx/Rx) beamforming problem is formulated to maximize the achievable rate by mitigating self-interference (SI). Since the optimal solution is difficult to find due to the non-convexity of the objective function, suboptimal schemes are proposed in this...
